Sealcoating Preserves Your Asphalt Investment

Periodic maintenance extends asphalt pavement’s life so it can be used for many years without much trouble. Regular use of the pavement causes wear and tear; if you perform routine maintenance, these minor issues do not escalate, and the pavement remains in good condition. Asphalt maintenance involves several activities; the two most important maintenance activities are sealcoating and crack filling.

Various factors damage the pavement, including water infiltration, snow, motor oil, gasoline, chemicals, such as antifreeze, excessive heat, and UV rays. The best way to prevent the damages caused by these environmental factors and pollutants is sealcoating. In this process, a protective layer of sealer is applied over the asphalt surface. The sealer is in the form of an emulsion mixed with water and other materials, such as silica sand, additives, etc. Sealcoating not only strengthens the pavement but also renews the blacktop luster.

Once asphalt is installed, it almost immediately begins to deteriorate. Oxidation, moisture penetration, gas and oil spills, along with the effects of ultraviolet rays, all play a part in damaging asphalt.

Our Asphalt specialists at Martiny Paving are professionally trained in applying hand applications of asphalt based sealcoating products, providing a layer of protection from the above elements. The correct and consistent application of coal tar sealer or PMM sealer on the surface will prevent further damage, dramatically increasing the life and curb appeal of your asphalt. You have a considerable monetary investment in asphalt, which needs consistent and routine asphalt maintenance to realize its full life expectancy.

100 Percent Coal Tar Sealer

For over a decade, Martiny Paving has been designated the exclusive applicator of seal master 100 percent coal tar sealer for Northeast Wisconsin. The seal master Company has long been recognized as the premier manufacturer of coal tar sealers for the asphalt paving industry. Their reputation for quality, innovation and product consistency helps us to provide the best asphalt sealer, creating an exceptional finished product to our customers.

Our 100 percent coal tar sealer is the preferred product in the harsh Wisconsin climate in which we live, providing greater durability and longer life (oftentimes double) vs. blended and asphalt-based sealers used by many asphalt sealing companies and asphalt contractors.

Coal tar sealer will always be more resistant to water, gas, oil and other chemicals because of its chemical makeup versus other types of sealers. Sand and latex modifiers are added to our sealer to produce a non-slip surface and greater durability.

Martiny Paving has served Green Bay, WI and the surrounding area since 2019. Call (920) 770-5805 or fill out our online app for your FREE quote.

Routine Sealing for Long-Lasting, Quality Asphalt

When to Sealcoat

    • The year after the asphalt has been installed.
    • When asphalt has faded from original black color.
    • When aggregate in asphalt is being exposed.
    • When sand begins to collect in curbing areas.

Benefits

    • Fills surface voids.
    • Prevents damaging water penetration and UV ray oxidation.
    • Protects from gas and oil drips which deteriorates pavement.
    • Costs pennies per square foot versus dollars per square foot to replace.
    • Easier to maintain. Snow and ice melt faster and sweeping is easier on a smooth surface.
    • Sealing provides a dark surface and the pavement looks and wears like new asphalt. Sealing helps project a positive image of your company, complex or home.

Process

    • Thoroughly deep clean the asphalt surface with high powered blowers and wire brooms. This is more than just dusting off loose debris. Without this proper cleaning, the sealer will not adhere to the asphalt.
    • Application of Seal Master 100 percent coal tar sealer to surface as specified.

I had them seal my driveway in 2021 and i am still happy with their work. They were great to work with. Answered all my questions, went over the process, and were very prompt. The person who came to the door (not the owner) before they started was very professional. You can tell they take pride in their work.

Brent was phenomenal to work with! he was honest about every step of the process. we had our old asphalt driveway removed and they installed a new driveway as we had to add onto our original driveway that was over 20 years old. I highly recommend Martiny Paving, they care about quality work and, as a customer, that we were satisfied. Look forward to using them for our future sealcoating needs as well!

Spoke to Brent initially and he took the time to explain in great, professional detail what he believed was the best path moving forward for our old driveway.Received a call from Beth indicating they could fit us in a month earlier than the quoted date. Unfortunately we happened to be out of town for the 4th of July holiday and couldn't get the camper out of the driveway in time for them to come early.Received a second call from Beth and was right when they told me on the quote they would be there to seal the driveway.Received a call from Bryce just before arrival indicating that we were still on schedule as planned and to make sure the driveway was clear of any objects, cars, campers....If professionalism, knowledgeable staff, prompt service, fair price, and excellent communication from a company is what you are looking for, Martiny Paving is the only call you need to make.We are extremely pleased with the end result!Thank you Martiny Paving for making this a great experience!

Brent, Bryce, and the crew patched a few potholes and seal coated a (30) car commercial parking lot for me in downtown Green Bay. Excellent communication start to finish. I agree with Mark in the review below, genuine hardworking people that do a great job at a fair price. Thank you for the great service and value Martiny Paving!
